What are the 4 types of PCOS?
There are 4 types of PCOS-
1) Insulin resistant PCOS- it is the most common PCOS. High level of insulin prevents ovulation and increases the level of testosterone. It is caused by smoking, pollution, trans fats and sugar.
2) Pill induced PCOS- consuming birth control pills suppress ovulation and is the second most common PCOS.
3) Inflammatory PCOS- inflammation prevents ovulation, produces androgens and causes hormonal imbalance. Stress, environmental toxins and inflammatory diet are the causative factors of inflammatory PCOS.
4) Hidden PCOS – it is caused by thyroid disease, iodine and zinc deficiency and artificial sweeteners.
