How painful is HSG test?

In this test the dye is injected through the vaginal route from where it travels to the uterus then fallopian tubes and later into the abdominal cavity. In some women there is no pain felt whereas some have reported little discomfort to intense pain. Those whose tubes are blocked may feel substantial discomfort or pain as the dye mat cause pressure. The pain from HSG test lasts for few minutes and later one is able to resume daily routine.
