Beat diabetes with Ayurveda!

With millions joining its rates high by the day, diabetes is fast turning into a modern-day epidemic. A judicious use of different and conventional therapies can help one manage it well and lead a properly normal, active life. India is expected to have 57 million diabetes patients by 2025, thanks to erratic lifestyles and poor food habits. The ‘lifestyle disease’ – known to be restricted to downtown population in the country till a few years ago – has now invaded rural India as well, with as much as 3 per dollar of the total country population being diagnosed with diabetes.

Diabetes is of two types, one which is characterized by excretion of substantial amounts of very thin down urine, called diabetes insipidus, nevertheless the one which is most common and quite often referenced to when we say diabetes, is diabetes mellitus.

Diabetes mellitus is of three types, Type 1 (which occurs at a young age), Type 2 (which occurs in individuals above 40), and gestational diabetes (which occurs rarely during pregnancy). All the types have similar signs, symptoms, and consequences, but different causes and population droid.

The cause of the disease is mainly unproven, though there are many hypotheses and risk factors such as increasing age, obesity, physical inactivity, and a family group history.

Whatever the type may be, the root cause of the condition is that the pancreas will not make enough or any of the body hormone insulin, or will not use the available insulin effectively, leading to the level of glucose in the bloodstream to remain way too high.

The classic triad of diabetes symptoms is polyuria, polydipsia and polyphagia, which in common parlance are recurrent urination, increased thirst, and increased appetite respectively. Symptoms may develop quite swiftly (within weeks or months) in type 1 diabetes, particularly in children. Nevertheless, they develop much more slowly in diabetes mellitus type 2, and may be quite subtle or completely absent. Type 1 diabetes may also cause weight loss (despite normal or increased eating), and irreducible fatigue. These symptoms can also manifest in type 2 diabetes in patients whose diabetes is poorly controlled.

Type 1 diabetes, in which insulin is not released by the pancreas, is directly treatable only with injected or inhaled insulin, although dietary and other lifestyle adjustments are part of management. Type 2, the most frequent one, as it usually influences people over the age of 45, is managed with a blend of diet, tablets, shots and, frequently, insulin supplements.

Early detection of the illness can make a whole lot of difference, and hence, regular tests are highly recommended for all, particularly, if you have a family record, is constantly feeling exhausted and emaciated, with significant weight-loss for no noticeable reason, or has urinary complaints that are not otherwise explained.

The difficulties of diabetes

Diabetes, unfortunately, can bring with it a range of problems, from minimal issues to chronic ailments:

  • Hypoglycaemia that is derangement of functions that can range from vaguely ‘feeling bad’ to coma and (rarely) everlasting brain harm or death
  • Ketoacidosis when cells do not have sufficient glucose to meet their metabolic demand
  • Nonketotic hyperosmolar coma – a rare kind of coma
  • Cardiovascular disease, when the risk of a heart attack is doubled
  • Renal failure that may lead to a need of dialysis, or even organ transplantation
  • Eye problems, particularly in the retina
  • Diabetic neuropathy, where spirit are damaged.
  • Microvascular harm, that might cause impotence and poor healing. Poor recovery of wounds, particularly of your toes, that could even lead to gangrene and amputation.ayurvedic-clinic

Aasha Ayurvedic clinic in Delhi warns you that this could appear alarming, but it is advisable to be aware of the gravity of the situation and take active steps for recovery than to exist in an inappropriate sense of security. The difference between allopathy and ayurveda therapies lies in one important concern – you require to exercise your will for the latter. Eliminate Dryness with a Vata-Balancing Diet

vata-pitta-and-kaphaIf you have excess Vata energy, you will likely have dry skin, produce a small, hard stool that is challenging to move, have trouble sleeping, and become susceptible to fidgeting, shaking, or other indications of abnormal movement. A Vata-balancing diet requires us to eat foods that nourish the body, moisturize the stomach tract, and usually build strength and a sense of groundedness.

Reduce Temperature with a Pitta-Balancing Diet plan

If you have extra Pitta energy, you likely suffer from skin irritability, profuse sweating, indigestion, and irritable thoughts. Generally, you have excess heat in your body, and you should gain from a diet of foods that reduce temperature. This will likely cause less distress in your digestive tract and allow one to experience better peace.

Decrease Moisture with a Kapha-Balancing Diet

If you have excess Kapha energy, you likely suffer from respiratory system problems, congestion, asthma, and over weight or obesity, and feel lethargic and stuck. Increased Kapha energy causes a buildup of moisture, such as congestion in the respiratory system. When you balance Kapha energy through an appropriate diet, you will reverse heaviness in the body.

Ayurveda Food Preparation

ayurveda-foodWhether you have a specific doshic imbalance you’d like to correct or perhaps you want to eat meals based upon Ayurveda practices for the benefit of increasing your health, you will take advantage of organizing and consuming simple foods that provide basic nourishment for your body. Many of these meals include several fresh fruit and vegetables cooked with a few basic spices or herbs, white basmati rice, and if appropriate for your constitution and the time of day, some dried beans. In case you are seeking to balance a particular dosha, prefer foods for balancing that dosha. If you are thinking about having a generally nourishing meal, select foods from each one of the three doshic guidelines.

For instance, make carrots (Vata) and cauliflower (Kapha) with cumin (Vata), and coriander (Pitta). Serve this with coconut oil (Pitta) and white basmati grain (Pitta and Vata).

Consider those following steps to prepare a basic dish of vegetables:

1. If you are preparing your meal with seeds (cumin, fennel, mustard), put some amount of oil in a wok over a medium temperature. Add the seeds after the oil has warmed up for a few minutes or so. Then the put seeds, proceed to step 2. If you are only using powder, skip straight to step 2.

2. Add diced vegetables to the wok with some water so that the vegetables will be steamed but not submerged. Add the powder spices and stir.

3. Permit the vegetables to steam before water has burned off, stir occasionally. Immediately remove from heat.

4. Melt ghee or pour oil in the vegetables and stir.

5. Serve with white basmati rice, and if appropriate for enough time of day and your figure, a dish of lentils or another type of legume.

Women who are unable to conceive may opt for Infertility treatment with Ayurveda.

Infertility TreatmentInfertility is a disorder which results in the inability of a woman to conceive a child. Today, it stands as one of the major reasons of unhappiness among couples, who eagerly wait to embrace parenthood. For expert consultation, one may visit a reputed Infertility Treatment Clinic Delhi. In case of women, there can be many reasons behind infertility, some of which have been mentioned below:

Hormonal Factors

The process of ovulation depends on a complex process of hormonal secretion and mixing. Any hindrance in that process can lead to infertility in women. An imbalance in the production of certain hormones such as FSH, LH, Estrogen, and Testosterone, can lead to the creation of immature eggs, which have no chance of ovulation. This imbalance could be caused by the malfunction of the Hypothalamus, the part of the brain controlling the pituitary gland or the pituitary gland itself, which is responsible for the secretion of FSH and LH.

Behavioral Factors

Like all other aspects of the human body, fertility is also affected by the habits and lifestyle of a person. Diet is one major factor that controls a woman’s ability to conceive. Those who are significantly overweight (obese) or underweight (malnutrition) can face difficulties getting pregnant. Other behavioral factors that impact a female’s ability to conceive include smoking, alcohol, and drugs. These lifestyle habits are harmful to a woman’s overall health too.

External Environmental Factors

A woman’s inability to conceive may also be triggered if she is being exposed to certain chemicals in the environment for too long. Exposure to lead, Ethylene Oxide or Dibromochloropropane for an extended period of time may lead to infertility in women.

In India, Infertility treatment with Ayurveda has been prevailing from time immemorial. Ayurvedic treatments make use of the process of Beej Sanskaar or detoxification of sperm and ovum, applying the methods of Vasti, Uttar Vasti, Vaman, and Virechan. The detoxification is followed by oral medication, which aims at improving the quality of sperm and ovum for healthy fertilization. To know more about the process, one may visit Aasha Ayurveda, an esteemed Ivf treatment clinic Delhi.

Garbhasanskar through Ayurveda is possibly the best way to strengthen the bond between the mother and the unborn child.

Garbhasanskar

It is a universally proven fact that a fetus is much more than a mass of flesh. It is capable of understanding and perceiving external stimuli. It is said that a baby’s psychological and behavioural advancement begins as soon as he/she is conceived. In this context, Garbhasanskar through Ayurveda, a methodology of inculcating values into the baby whilst it is still inside the womb, is being widely practiced across the country. The term Grabhasanskar is made up of two Sanskrit words, ‘Garbha’ and ‘Sanskar,’ where ‘Garbha’ exemplifies fetus, and ‘Sanskar’ implies educating. Here is a brief insight on the various activities that are conducted in a Garbhasanskar program:

  1. Listening to music

It has been proved that an unborn child can hear and respond to sound effects from the seventh month onwards. So when the mother listens to music, it’s reasonable that the baby will hear it as well. A few experts have also pointed out that listening to music energizes the baby’s psychological health, and in addition, aid in building up its sense of hearing. An expectant mother can start with listening to soothing ragas and melodies that may help her in feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

  1. Practicing Yoga

Yoga facilitates in enhancing the elasticity and flexibility of the muscles. This goes a long way in helping a lady to combat the challenges during labour. The practice of Pranayama and other breathing techniques also help the mother and the child to stay healthy. Moreover, yoga helps in improving the blood transmission to the baby, and reduces the probability of occurrence of backaches and cramps during pregnancy.

  1. Pursuing a hobby and awakening the creativity

Taking up hobbies amid pregnancy keeps one’s mind diverted as well as aids in boosting the child’s overall development. Expectant mothers can try their hands at different creative activities such as painting or pottery. Another alternative is to solve math problems or crossword puzzles, which also helps in enhancing the child’s intellectual development. If nothing more, these activities serve as a wonderful stress buster for a pregnant lady.

Those on the search for interactive garbhasanskar classes Delhi, may contact Aasha Ayurveda, and delve into an enriching and delightful experience of motherhood. At this reputed Ayurvedic clinic, the Garbhasanskar program mainly comprises three stages: a) Preconception (Beej Sanskar) b) Duration of Pregnancy (Garbhasanskar) c) Post Delivery (Bal Sanskar).

Those suffering from chronic obesity may get in touch with an esteemed obesity treatment clinic Delhi.

Obesity Treatment

Obesity is one disease that has been silently eating away the modern man. It is more widespread now than it was ever before. After USA and China, India is home to the third highest number of obese people. The problem is particularly chronic among the teenagers and young professionals in the country due to various reasons, some of which are mentioned below. The best way to treat the disorder is to take expert advice from an Obesity Treatment Clinic Delhi.

  1. Junk Food

Junk food is the biggest reason behind the obesity epidemic in the country, particularly in the big cities. With both parents working these days, young people are more prone to having fast food, which is not only unhealthy but also unhygienic. The fast food industry has shot up in the past few years and it is practically impossible to not cross at least one fast food joint when one gets out of the house. The cholesterol level in these foods is quite high, and regular intake causes accumulation of excessive body fat.

  1. Lack of Physical Activity

As much as everyone has benefitted by the internet and smartphones, it has also made most people, particularly teenagers, reluctant to go out of the house and do physical activities such as playing or exercising. Everything is now available at the click of a button, which has done some serious damage to the health of people by triggering them to becoming overweight.

  1. Unhealthy Lifestyle

Today’s generation is not leading a healthy lifestyle. The physical condition of a person is directly related to the kind of life he or she leads. Sleeping at odd hours, untimely intake of food, and other such unhealthy lifestyle choices can lead to obesity, unless one gets in touch with an Obesity Treatment Clinic West Delhi.

Obesity is an epidemic that has some serious implications on health. An over-weight person is much more likely to be diagnosed with Diabetes, Hypertension, & Arthritis. The good news is that Ayurveda offers some excellent remedies in the form of herbal steam therapy, Panchkarma treatment, Triphala, Vidanga, & other herbs, and much more. For more details on Obesity treatment through Ayurveda, one may visit Aasha Ayurveda, the renowned Ayurveda clinic in Delhi.
